The first page is on me. Once I’ve edited a sample of your work and we’ve discussed what you’d like done with it, I’ll provide an estimated fee.

Please note that if your project requires me to edit more than one sample page, any sample editing beyond one page (250 words) will be included in your invoice.

  1. Get in touch with me via the contact page, email or phone.

  2. We’ll talk via phone or email to clarify your needs and budget, and I’ll have you send me a sample of your work. Your document should be double-spaced with one-inch margins.

  3. After surveying your work and editing a sample, I’ll propose an editing strategy, and we’ll discuss the timeline and fee.

  4. Before I begin the work, I’ll send you a letter of agreement or contract, to make sure we’re on the same page.

  5. During the editing process, I’ll enlist your feedback on each stage of the work and keep you apprised of any changes.

  6. I will invoice you according to our agreement and expect payment within two weeks via one of the following methods:

  • Check or money order addressed to Melony Swasey
  • PayPal, for secure, private transactions via your debit or credit card
